Larysa Kuzmenko's Piano Concerto has been released on Centre Discs (Canadian Music Centre), featuring Christina Petrowska and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
Memoriam CD Release
In Memoriam to the Victims of Chornobyl has been released on CD, performed by Yaroslav Senyshyn, on the Platon label.
Recent Commissions
Feburary 5 of 2010
An all-Kuzmenko concert will be presented by the NYCO Music Festival at Walter Hall in the Edward Johnson Building in Toronto. This will be a benefit concert for the Festival.
January of 2009
Larysa was the Composer In Residence for Memorial University's New Music Festival in St. John's Newfoundland. Several of her works were presented, including "In Search of Eldorado", Suite of Dances, and "In Memoriam to the Victims of Chornobyl."
August of 2008
Dreams for Choir and Piano Trio was presented at the Ottawa Chamber Music Festival, featuring the Gryphon Trio and the Elmer Iseler Singers, directed by Lydia Adams.
Boosey and Hawkes
Boosey and Hawkes has published several new works, including "Dreams" for Choir and Piano Trio, "Stars", "Wind", and "Night", all for SSA, and "Gaude Virgo Gloriosa" for Woman's Choir and Piano.

Has recently been published by Plangere Publications and is available through them at www.plangere.com. Plangere is also publishing Fantasy for Solo Cello and "In Search of Eldorado" in versions for mezzo soprano and soprano.

Fantasy on a Theme by Beethoven

...The opening Beethoven Fantasy by Kuzmenko, who was in attendance, is, in terms of musical style, a throwback to roughly the time of Vaughan Williams or Holst. As a work of music, however, it is impressively well crafted and intelligently composed, the various clearly defined sections each expressing a specific mood through orchestration and thematic treatment. The control of harmony was especially impressive. The Fantasy made a suitable complement to the rest of the music of the evening in its alternation of interior reflection, contrasting with moments of brass-driven energy. Throughout the program, the various small solo parts for woodwind and brass were accurately and vividly performed, not the least the oboe colours in the Fantasy...

LATEST COMPACT DISC RELEASES
Cellist Vernon Regehr presents previously unrecorded, unaccompanied works of six composers, all written in the past decade. As the title of the album suggests, the works display a highly varied array of expressive and emotional landscapes, utilizing the instrument's broad range of tone colour.
 
Kuzmenko's "One Sister Have I in Our House" for Women's chorus and piano was commissioned by the Tapestry Singers in joyful celebration of their sister singer Sandy Quarles, a gentle soul and a lively spirit. Recorded live at St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
